Happy Memorial Day 2009

Happy Memorial Day. Today, may you not get caught up in the hysteria and propaganda of patriotism but may you still remember all those who've died and have given their lives in wars... remember those from the U.S. and from all over the world whose lives are taken by the violence of war. Honor those brave men and women by doing whatever it takes to see that no one else suffers the same fate. Bring true honor to those who fight for their country by working for peace so that no more may die. Yes, God bless America... and bless America's enemies too. And may you above all remember that no one "fights" for your freedom, for your freedom comes from Christ alone who offers it freely by forgiveness through the shedding of his own blood and not of that of his enemies.
